P.S. I hate to admit it but this time I'm really dead for my finals.

Ah... Nicole's doing Vet Science...
Something I always wanted to do when I was aloooooooooooot younger.

Decided against it in the end because of the euthanising part.
Something I'll never be able to do.

Maybe I'm really in the wrong place after all.

To me, it was a letdown.
Don't quite seem to understand the hype about them.
Because when they sing, they sound like a bunch of soloists, rather than one choir. And they're Vienna Boys Choir. Not Vienna Boys Soloists.

Though I guess they're being marketed based on their "oh that cute little boy has such a nice voice!" appeal rather than "wow they're damn great a choir!"

But I've got to admit. They were all really cute. And really good singers. Loved their voices.
Could do away with the messiness and poor intonation though.

Overall it was CUTE. (:

18 was a fantastic fantastic elastic elastic year.
Will miss you. I loved you.

Woke up later than I wanted to this morning. Like 10-ish. When I actually had set my alarm for 8:30.
Was lazy and snoozed away.
When I woke up at 10 again, I totally felt like slapping myself for snoozing because I suddenly remembered the endless list of things I have to do.
So I woke up and listened to my long overdue e-learning week GEK lecture and spent twice the actual time required because I was interspersing it with Episode 6 of 미남이시네요 that I didn't finish watching the night before. Was too tired to do so.
And then after lunch I happily went to watch the Invincible Youth that I also was too tired to finish the night before.

(Everything above was still relatively okay. Up till here.)

When I decided to start on the MNO video, I toppled my cup of hot green tea over and it spilled all over me, my laptop adapter, half of my GEK lecture notes, and my CHAIR.

Good thing the tea wasn't boiling hot so I didn't get scalded. The lecture notes weren't that big of an issue because they were laser printed. So only the highlighted parts were smudged. As for the laptop adapter, I managed to smother it in everything absorbent within reach in time so I hope it's okay.
As for the chair, my beloved blue fabric (and sadly also absorbent) material chair, it got soaked with green tea. And being fabric, the green tea was stuck in there.
My daddy was in a good mood so he washed it for me in the garden. And then he came in and said, "do you like this chair(i.e. the dining table chair I dragged into my room as a temporary replacement while I waited for my chair to dry out in the sun.)"
me: "no. (still horribly upset at the mess the stupid green tea made.)"
dad: "your chair will take 2 - 3 days to fully dry, because I washed the whole thing for you."

After I got over the temporary loss of my chair, I got started (or at least attempted to) with my MNO video. But stupid cheap and lousy windows movie maker decided to play me out by vomiting all the videos taken with Aditi's camera. Turned out the .mts format was too high tech for wmm. And so I spent 3 hours searching for some form of converter online while sieving through a haystack of trial converters that convert only 50% of your video or put a watermark right smack in the centre of the video. And then I got so pissed I called and texted Janice and Nicole. Nearly died. But Janice managed to find one that converted fully BUT (you see there's never a perfect one that we don't have to pay for or something like that) made me install a toolbar thingy. Yay for spyware/adware. But I guess I'll (try to) remove the whole thing after we're finished with the video.

After I finally got the files converted, I had my dinner!!!!!!! :DDDDDDD
And my maid being as great as ever, made avocado juice and pasta/meegoreng/somethinglikethat for me.
Food always makes me happy. But the fats that come with too much of it after makes me really upset.

After dinner I started cheonging my writeup for my GEK project meeting tomorrow.
Halfway through all the brainwrecking, I suddenly realised that the due date for the paper was 2 weeks later while it was the presentation that's supposed to be due next week. And there I was, wrecking my brain, attempting to translate my mess of scribblings into times new roman font size 12 double spacing.

Just at the right time, Nicole called to check on the videos, so I shutdown my laptop and chatted. Haha.





Friday was Tata Crucible and Lina's birthday dinner.
Saturday was Lina's birthday. Happy (Belated now) Birthday! :D

I've been wanting to write a nice long lj post about something meaningful or something but all the 'meaningful' term papers have robbed me of a good bulk of my time, leaving my tired mind to unwind in frivolousness which somehow coincidentally includes a group of 5 pretty boys who hail from Korea (sorry not FT Island this time) whose new song(s) and music video + performances have been screwing my mind quite badly.

So today I had my first session of Career Planning and Management and life threw a rock at my face.
Sadly, I was deceived that I would have it easy in Uni, studying for only 7 months and holiday-ing for the remaining 5 months of the year.

LIE.

1 of the 5 months should be spent catching up on work/readings and studying for mid-term tests and exams.
The other 4 should be spent on Internships and Summer Programmes.

Sadly, I was innocently deceived. (However, I could also do some course during the holidays too. But internships are still better.)

Also, I'll have to do an exchange programme to a foreign university. (Which isn't that bad an idea. Think long term trip overseas.) No need to guess which country or university I'm already eying at.

So I'm spending my public holiday evening watching the samurai film for my GEK module and it's way too reminiscent to watching FT Island's Hangeul Island while taking notes.
Incase you didn't get my point, I'm supposed to do a film analysis on this samurai film called Twilight Samurai and the process is kinda like pausing the video every few seconds to write stuff down and trust me it really isn't a very pleasant thing to do.
Besides, I'm barely a quarter through the film and I've already got two sheets of foolscap paper scribbled with notes, albeit them being quite useless.

Anyhow. Recess week is here but it's not recess-y in any way. With tonnes of catching up to do and the MNO zoe project thingy (TARGET GROUP PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ACCEPT US THIS TIME IF NOT WE'LL DEFINITELY WIN THE DOWN IN A BLAZE OF GLORY AWARD) I doubt there'll be any time for playing. Not that I should be going out because going out = spending money and I kinda went crazy with clothes shopping the past few days so there goes my budget for the month. Infact I think I spent my whole month's allowance in the past 3 days on clothes. Sadly. Which goes to say, no more shopping for the next 2 weeks at least. The clothes should last anyway.

Cleared my computer desktop from their flood of Barae(바래) performance videos, and hopefully I'll manage to accomplish some closet and magazine cleaning this week.

Friday, the last week of the term, commemorated the first time me and my chingu met in school.
To make it even more memorable, it was the first time I ever waited 2.5 hours for someone. (Chingu be honoured).
But then again, I occupied myself with BSP readings and the weather was being disgusting so I couldn't leave even if I wanted to. Haha.
But because it was Chingu and Chingu was having problems printing her term paper so I forgive her (:




Yay for everyone! We've survived half a semester of school! 여러분 수고하셨습니다!! ^^

Just yesterday we were only young punks having fun with life and nothing else seemed to matter.
Today we struggle with projects, term papers and job prospects.
Tomorrow we will see ourselves retiring from the job we've been clinging on to for 30 years just to feed ourselves and put a roof over our heads,
looking back and thinking about the things we now regret, wrongly made choices, and dreams we left behind for "more important" reasons.

And then we will sigh to ourselves.
Comforting ourselves by saying how it's too late to change everything and that there's no point crying over spilt milk.
Because we only have one drive down life's road.

A drive where break pedals and reverse gears don't exist.
We just keep going straight. turning left and right.
Going forward. Never turning back.
Only glancing through the rear mirror to reminisce the road we drove past knowing that we could never return.

Because that's how life is. We just go forward.
Often forgetting that we can never turn back.
